History of the NEBF

In 1946, the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) reached an agreement to form the National Electrical Benefit Fund (NEBF).

Today, the NEBF is the second largest Taft-Hartley Pension Plan in the United States. It serves over 624,800 participating individuals, with more than 155,400 of those individuals receiving either a retirement or surviving spouse benefit. The Plan has over 9,000 contributing employers, resulting in over 525,000,000 hours worked in covered employment.
