Job Steward Information
A Steward is a member who takes on the responsibility of representing members on the jobsite.
This Brother or Sister is the eyes and ears of the union, making sure that the staff and officers at the hall know what is going on in the field. The Steward makes sure the members know about important union issues and events.
Being a Steward is a tough job, but a critical one for the IBEW.
Currently, Stewards receive one hour’s pay at time-and-a-half for the performance of their duties.
